At the School of Sports, we want our students to increase their weekly physical activity time with a quality selection of activities that allows for healthy growth of motor skills and social experiences.
The School of Sports is organised and coordinated by the School itself to achieve maximum coherence between extracurricular sports and the academic and human formation at IPSI.
We provide motor skills and sports initiation from ages 3 to 8 based on varied experiences with play as the guiding thread. From age 9, students choose a sport or leisure activity in which we aim to transmit sports and health culture.
You can access the extracurricular activity schedules on this website, in the Extra-curricular / Activities Bulletin section.
General Information
All our instructors and coaches are coordinated and accompanied by specialists in the different sports disciplines. We ensure that the older students at the School of Sports who are interested in becoming coaches for the younger ones can do so with the support and guidance of the coordinators for each sport.
Play has an evolutionary role in the different stages of our students’ sports training. It is the guiding thread for the activities of the youngest, gradually losing importance as they grow older; the older students must value and enjoy personal effort and teamwork as motivation to continue practising sports. “What we achieve together and that needs effort will fulfil us as individuals and as a group.”
We strive to create favourable environments for students’ physical and emotional development. We also ensure that our athletes can continue practising their sport once they have finished their key school stage.
We want sports values such as respect (for adults, peers, and opponents), effort, camaraderie, commitment, teamwork, hygiene, and healthy habits to be a constant for all our athletes.
