Music School
In countries with a strong musical tradition, access to music in schools plays a vital role. That is why, thirty-five years ago, we decided to offer music classes for learning an instrument. Such classes teach initial musical skills which allow for the creation of a school orchestra, a musical atmosphere comparable to that of European schools across the continent.
The Music School offers students the opportunity to learn different musical instruments with specialised teachers, at the highest possible level. Children who do not attend IPSI are also most welcome.
Students take exams from the renowned Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, which allows them to be examined both practically (instrument) and theoretically (Music Theory). Ths tends to be a highly motivating and enjoyable practice.
You can access the schedules of extracurricular activities on this website, in the section Extracurricular / Activity Bulletin.
The Music School is divided into two different sections:
School of Instruments and Music Reading
This promotes instrumental teaching through individual classes (60 minutes per week or two 30-minute sessions) in addition to learning to read music and facilitate ear training.
The school encourages student participation in the different orchestral groups of the Music School: string orchestra, guitar orchestra, elementary string orchestra, and wind and brass orchestra. All groups perform in two annual productions (Christmas and Sant Jordi) and work in weekly rehearsals.

Choir
We have choirs for specific ages and support for those students who show a good aptitude for singing and wish to be part of the renowned Vivaldi Choir.
All choirs participate in the Christmas and Sant Jordi concerts held at the Axa Auditorium.
