Defending an integrating educative model

Defending an integrating educative model Defending an integrating educative model

We are an open school which firmly believes that all students are capable of progressing, and, to achieve it, they must be provided with appropriate adapted studies for their educational necessities to help individual progress and personal satisfaction.

Offering an exigent and compromising training

Offering an exigent and compromising training Offering an exigent and compromising training

Education for us is an opportunity to form people with a high level of self-demand, in which the effort culture must be assumed by the student and reflected day by day in the school. We highlight the work well done, the satisfaction of the results due to their own efforts and the perseverance, respecting the capacities and the interests of the students. The school must provide a training to the student to be able to face the challenges of a changing world.

Academic Training, humanistic and sociocultural

Academic Training, humanistic and sociocultural Academic Training, humanistic and sociocultural

We assume our responsibility to form academically self-demanding students, self-confident and motivated in academic responsibilities; humanly sensitive to the necessities, possibilities and their own interests or of others, socially and culturally compromised among a plural and changing world.

We based our pedagogy on the prominence of the student in their own learning, which requires responsibility and self-effort.

We have our own programing methodology

We have our own programing methodology We have our own programing methodology

The program is made according to the capacities of the school: theoretical knowledge and theoretical comprehension, analysis, classification and association, deduction and application, organisation at work, verbal expression, initiative, creativity and autonomy, precision and work quality. The program according to the capacities enables the student to go in depth in every project and, in consequence, the results improve significantly.

We propose a specific level of demand based on the necessities and the educative capacities of the student, and the effort as a necessary condition to progress. We are convinced that this exigence contributes to the obtaining of work habits, the development of the sense of responsibility and the consolidation of a mature and sensible personality in the long term.

These are human values that don’t exclude anyone nor any collective, that help our students to express an empathic and reliable attitude toward others, which contributes to developing values that help to make a better society. When promoting these values, we are clearly contributing to the civic training of our students. We are helping them to know how to act in every moment, and every situation to be able to establish a positive relationship with the others, adults and classmates. We also work accurately to achieve respect towards urban places and the natural environment.

Protecting, promoting and caring for our culture

We want our students to become active citizens. Respect towards other cultures is based on the recognition of our own one.

Safeguarding the mutual understanding with the family

We understand our commitment as a support to education and we assume this challenge being aware of the importance of maintaining a direct and continued relationship with the families. We cannot forget that the biggest educative responsibility is down to the parents and both parts must share, without any contradiction, the educational model.
That’s why we take a lot of care about communication, whether it be oral (personal interviews with the families, informative meetings at the beginning of the course, pedagogical meetings, conferences about educative issues...), written (evaluation reports, information sheets...) or expressed in any way, being specific, sensitive, and respectful with the addressees.

The treatment of foreign languages deserve  special attention; We offer English, French and German. In terms of English, it is guaranteed that our students have a B2 level when finishing school.
Music is seen as a key element for the global training and is practised with high intensity. All our students sing together, play the keyboard and, if they want, can join the orchestra, as well as being able to choose any other complementary instrument.
Additionally, through sport, cooperation and effort is fostered.

Offering a wide formation to complement the curriculum

We are aware that sometimes, the educative exigencies outreach the education normative; that’s why IPSI offers a wide complementary formation in sports, music, scenic art and languages, which helps personal and interpersonal development.

We help the student to search, in a free context, their personal path, developing their individual potentials. We train the students in a transcendent way, in order for them to be capable of:

. taking decisions responsibly given the freedom they have
ensuring their actions are coherent with their thoughts
. knowing, valuing and accepting their own possibilities and limitations, and, in consequence, valuing positively their own personal identity
. recognising, comprehending and expressing their feelings and emotions towards others and their entorn (attitude, feelings, expectatives...)
. accepting positively the differences and experiencing them as something enriching
. taking decisions, in a context of rights and obligations
. progressing to a level of self-confidence, respecting  and loving oneself, tolerance, acceptance, mutual help and collaborative attitude in competitions.
